About Spoon Market

It started with a small deli and market with about 14 seats at our first location on South Market Street but it has obviously grown way beyond that. Since opening their doors in June 2011 with the initial idea of creating a neighborhood gathering place and a resource for freshly baked artisan breads and pastries, a collection of the finest cheeses, a pantry of premium food staples, and eclectic selection of wines and craft beers, owners Jordan, Jeff, and Patrice had the opportunity to purchase the Excelsior Building, 144 W. Liberty, still in the heart of Downtown Wooster, opening at their new location in April 2016.

While still committed to their original vision of a neighborhood gathering place and keeping the integrity of the ingredients, flavor, and tradition of their sandwiches and baked goods, Spoon Market was able to expand physically while still maintaining that small neighborhood feel.

In addition to Spoon Market and Deli, we have expanded our catering by offering a full-range of event planning, ranging from small office meetings to large weddings. Above Spoon, in the Excelsior Building is a beautiful room which offers a classic mix of old and new, blending the hardwood floors and period woodwork of our historic building with the light and airy feel of a three-story glass atrium and romantic light fixtures. With a maximum capacity of 250 guests, The Excelsior Room is the ideal location for your wedding, party, fundraiser or any other event. The chic, loft-inspired décor is the perfect canvas to accentuate your own personal style.

It’s always been our sincere hope that Spoon Market will be a place where people will leave having had a rewarding and really positive experience. The kind of spot where “everybody knows your name.” So come by and say hi, we’re just down the block. We love making new friends!
